CS CORMORANT (1) Built in 1884 by Earle’s and Company, Hull Length 133.4 ft Breadth 21.7 ft Depth 11.0 ft Gross tonnage 262 Built for Hewett and Co., of Hull for coastal trading. Purchased by the Western Telegraph Company in 1903 and fitted out for cable repairs. Sold in 1908 to A.D. & M. Lussich, Montevideo, renamed Salvor and used for salvage work. Sold again in 1914 to the Uruguayan Government and finally broken up in 1920. CABLE WORK
